A cocky young Department of Agriculture agent stopped at a farm and talked with an old farmer one afternoon. He told the farmer, "I need to inspect your whole farm." The old farmer said "OK, but don't go in that field right over yonder."

The young agent said, "Mr. I have the authority of the U. S. Government with me. See this card? This card means I am allowed to go wherever I want on any agricultural land, no questions asked or answered. You got that? Do you understand me?"

The farmer nodded politely and simply said, "Okay, but ya' might want to be ready to ask for God's help." The young agent looked at the old farmer quizzically, then headed right off for the field the old farmer had warned him about first thing.

The old farmer went on about his chores. A few minutes later he heard loud screams coming from the direction of the field and saw the young agent running for his life toward the pasture's fence, followed close behind by the old farmer's huge-horned prize bull. The bull was madder than a nest full of hornets and was gaining on the young agent at every step.

The Old farmer yelled out, "Don't forget to ask for God's help! And if that don't work ... show him your card!!!"
